At least 12 Republican senators walked out of President Donald Trump’s Senate impeachment trial Thursday after a video by impeachment manager Jamie Raskin (D-MD), missing a subsequent presentation by Ted Liu (D-CA).
Raskin showed a video presentation that attempted to falsely link Trump to a plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and accused Trump of praising neo-Nazis after violence at a 2017 rally in Charlottesville.
Both narratives have been soundly debunked, but continue to be used by the left anyway.
The Washington Examiner’s Byron York said that the impeachment managers’ case was hurt by Raskin’s video because Republicans “lived through those events and do not subscribe to Democratic/media characterization of them.”
Liu’s presentation said that Trump was a future danger to America because of his past actions.
