There has been yet another shocking development in the impeachment witch-hunt against President Trump. Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) has given up — his committee hearings are a complete joke.
Nadler, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, should be ashamed by how he’s conducted business. This week, after a 14-hour debate, he ended discussion abruptly to stop Republicans from taking action.
The debate, of course, has centered on the articles of impeachment drafted by Democrats in one of the most partisan moves in recent history. But Republicans still expected time to offer amendments of their own.
Nadler shot down this possibility by ending debate and calling for a vote the very next morning. “This is the kangaroo court that we’re talking about!” said Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA), a ranking member of the committee.
Collins also noted: “There was no consulting [with] the ranking member on your schedule for tomorrow, in which you’ve just blown up schedules for everyone?” His protest sadly fell on dear ears.
But this is what we have all come to expect from Democrats: Seeking power above all else. They still can’t accept the 2016 election results and want to remove Trump on ridiculous charges solely for political revenge.
