Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar, the ultra-leftist progressive of the Democrat party, was just nailed in a stunning report of financial scandal and cronyism.
Although Omar claims to be a progressive representative of the people, it appears her “everyman” image is a complete sham as the new report claims she paid her own husband’s firm over $2 million dollars from her official campaign accounts.
The Washington Examiner reports Omar wrote checks totaling over “$2.8 million paid to her husband’s political consultancy firm over the course of the 2019-2020 election cycle.”
Please, tell us more about your fight against greed and corruption, Ms. Omar.
The report outlines the disturbing facts based on official FEC records:
According to Federal Election Commission records, the majority of the money went into digital advertising provided by her husband Tim Mynett’s E Street Group, costing between $50,000 to $400,000.
The Minnesota lawmaker also paid $12,000 bimonthly sums to her husband’s firm. Other lofty expenditures included a payment for over $38,000 for direct mail and over $44,000 for mail advertising and production.
