McCarthy identified Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and Adam Schiff (D-CA) as those who would lose their committee assignments under a Republican majority.

Swalwell reportedly consorted with a Chinese spy but remains on the Intelligence and Homeland Security Committees, and Schiff repeatedly lied and defamed former President Donald Trump and other Republicans during Trump’s tenure as president, as well as helping to preside over two Trump impeachments that ultimately went nowhere in the Senate.
“The Democrats have created a new thing where they’re picking and choosing who can be on committees,” McCarthy said, suggesting that what’s good for the good has to be good for the gander. “Never in the history [of Congress] have you had the majority tell the minority who can be on committee.”
