A major announcement was just made regarding the results of an ongoing investigation into Ilhan Omar’s abuse of campaign funds during her stint in as a Minnesota state legislator.
The investigation into the alleged campaign finance violations was initiated by Republican Minnesota state representative Steve Drazkowski in 2018.
Drazkowski filed two complaints with the campaign finance board. The complaints accused Omar of misusing thousands of dollars of campaign funds to pay legal fees in her 2017 divorce and trips to Estonia and Massachusetts.
The investigation has been ongoing for several months but has finally drawn to a close. Drazkowski confidently declared during the investigation that “the Campaign Finance Board is taking Representative Omar’s blatant misuse of taxpayer resources seriously.”
Drazkowski disclosed to Sinclair that “Representative Omar hasn’t followed the law. She’s repeatedly trampled on the laws of the state in a variety of areas, and gotten by with it.”
However, Drazkowski’s investigation is finally holding Omar accountable for her mishandling of campaign funds. Reports say that the results of the investigation are to be expected any day now.
