Most people know Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has an unnatural hatred for Israel that is difficult to understand or explain.
That hatred was on display this week when Omar accused Israel of “ethnic cleansing” for demolishing an illegal Bedouin settlement that was in a live fire area.
“An entire community is now homeless and will likely experience lifelong trauma,” Omar tweeted. “The United States of America should not be bankrolling ethnic cleansing. Anywhere.”
The Israeli High Court permitted the demolishing because the Bedouins weren’t permanent residents of the area, because the settlement was illegal, and because it was safer for the residents not to live in the live fire area.
The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) condemned the tweets and said Omar was “spreading her antisemitic hatred and calling for action against Israel.”
