News about a House impeachment ‘reversal’ is spreading like wildfire nationwide. It was just declared on national television by a high-ranking Republican official.
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) appeared on CNN and blasted the House’s impeachment process. He made it clear on the liberal network that the Senate would be conducting its business quite differently.
“I thought that the House proceedings were unnecessarily unfair,” said Kennedy on CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ with Jake Tapper. But his remarks didn’t stop there.
“When the American people walk away from the Senate trial if we ever have one, I don’t want them saying, well, we were just run over by the same truck twice,” he said.
Kennedy went on to say that he wants people “to think that it was a level playing field,” drawing a stark contrast with the House’s hyper-partisan and clandestine witch-hunt against President Trump.
Once again, Republicans will show Democrats how to be adults and deal with an issue maturely, fairly, and with the good of the country in mind. Grandstanders need not apply.
