The news is spreading nationwide about a Hollywood superstar under investigation. It is not looking good for him — and he may be in trouble now. Only time will tell how this episode unfolds.
“Actor Harrison Ford is currently under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for making an error while operating an aircraft this week in California,” according to Breitbart News this week.
Ford, best known for his roles in classics like the Star Wars and Indiana Jones series, reportedly didn’t hear an FFA operator tell him to “hold short” on the runway as he was preparing to take off in his personal aircraft.
Ford eventually responded: “Excuse me, sir, I thought exactly the opposite. I’m terribly sorry.” Well, at least he was polite about it. The FAA operator was apparently trying to stall Ford due to oncoming traffic.
In a statement, the FAA confirmed that they were looking into the matter. “Mr. Ford crossed the airport’s only runway in his aircraft after he misheard a radio instruction from ATC,” said the agency.
However, this is likely part of the usual investigative process that the FAA goes through when an incident likes this occurs — in order to document everything and come to a conclusion. It seems like a simple miscommunication.
