Ohio Governor Mike DeWine tested positive for coronavirus but later it was found to be a false-positive as he tested negative the day he was set to meet with President Trump.
DeWine, 73, took the first test as standard protocol before meeting President Trump. After testing positive he returned to Columbus and took another test showing him clean of COVID-19.
He and his wife plan to take another test today to get more solid results on whether they are or were infected.
The problem with different tests has become very apparent, as the rapid result test was a false positive and the more accurate but slower test confirmed that DeWine did not have the coronavirus.
Unfortunately for DeWine, he was unable to meet President Trump, and the president expressed his disappointment while affirming his confidence in DeWine and his work as governor of Ohio.
There still seems to be room for improvement in coronavirus testing, both in accuracy and speed.
