Former Secretary of State and two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton just made a huge announcement. She has had enough.
In response to the Senate acquitting President Trump, she said, “As the president’s impeachment trial began, Republican senators pledged an oath to defend the Constitution.”
She continued: “Today, 52 of them voted to betray that oath—and all of us. We’re entering dangerous territory for our democracy. It’ll take all of us working together to restore it.”
This is ironic coming from Clinton, who flagrantly violated the law by keeping classified information on a private email server during her time as Secretary of State. What about her oath?
Furthermore, Senate Republicans didn’t break any kind of oath — the impeachment process worked as intended. The Senate ruled based upon the evidence compiled by the House and found Trump not guilty.
Clinton and other anti-Trump Democrats are just angry that Republicans wouldn’t play their game and call forth new witnesses and documents. This would’ve unnecessarily prolonged the entire sham.
