Hillary Clinton shocked the nation by announcing that she does not intend to run for President in 2024 as it would disrupt the efforts of President Joe Biden to win reelection.
During an interview with the Financial Times on Friday, Clinton stated that a presidential bid was “out of the question.”
Clinton believes that President Biden is going to run again in 2024 and she wants to be out of the way. Clinton told the Financial Times that, “First of all, I expect Biden to run. He certainly intends to run. It would be very disruptive to challenge that.”
The issue is, President Biden is already the oldest President to serve in the Oval Office. Come November 2024; President Biden will be days shy of his 82nd birthday.
The President’s advanced age raises legitimate concerns about his ability to lead for the rest of his term, let alone another four years in his early 80s.
So, will Democrats be willing to support President Biden in 2024, especially considering his terrible performance? That remains to be seen, and that casts serious doubts about Clinton’s sincerity when she claims she has no intentions of running in 2024.
