Hillary Clinton has resurfaced in the political world and recently claimed that Americans who chanted “Lock Her Up,” had “no idea what they were talking about.”
Clinton made her comment during an interview on NBC’s “Today,” one of several recent appearances that have political observers speculating Clinton is attempting to make some kind of return to relevance.
Clinton said, “What I learned was to take criticism seriously, but not personally. You mentioned ‘lock her up.’ What an absurd and, in many ways, dangerous attack. Because we’re supposed to live in a society governed by the rule of law.”
It is ironic to hear Hillary Clinton talking about the sanctity of the rule of law, even though she was more than willing to do away with the rule of law when it came to making accusations against her political opponents.
Clinton’s rank hypocrisy and whining likely won’t sell well with many Americans. However, the question remains as to why Clinton is coming back now.
With the power vacuum developing in the Democrat Party, Clinton may believe she can make some sort of comeback. With how unpopular Joe Biden is, there may be a wide-open nomination for the taking in the 2024 presidential election.
