Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said during an interview for the New York Times that previewed on Axios Sunday that she thinks she could have handled the coronavirus outbreak better than President Donald Trump if she had been elected in 2016.
Times opinion writer Kara Swisher asked Clinton if a woman president could have handled the pandemic better than a man.
“I have no doubt, especially if it were me,” she replied. “I have no doubt. I mean, I was born for that.”
Back in May, the Times had published an argument that female world leaders like German Chancellor Angela Merkel were handling the pandemic better than males. Newly rising cases may be causing them to reconsider, however.
It’s absolutely ludicrous to believe that Clinton, who was famously MIA during the Benghazi crisis, would have handled this crisis with any efficiency.
I think she would have made Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer look like a freedom fighter. We definitely dodged a bullet with that one.
