Hillary Clinton is going to share the victory speech she would have given if she had won the 2016 presidential election during a masterclass on the power of resilience on Thursday.
“In this lesson, I’m going to face one of my most public defeats head-on by sharing with you the speech I had hoped to deliver if I had won the 2016 election,” Clinton said, adding that she had “never shared this with anybody.”
Snippets of the speech released before the class would have told Americans that they “sent a message to the world” that “our values endure. Our democracy stands strong. And our motto remains: e pluribus unum. Out of many, one.”
The speech also said that voters “renewed our democracy” by electing her.
It is sad that she still thinks this is relevant after she lost to former President Donald Trump. People really, really didn’t like her even more than they didn’t like Trump, and no speech is going to make her relevant again after that.
