It was just announced — he is officially resigning and Democrats are in shock. One by one, the dominoes are beginning to fall. This could be the end.
“Peter Ajemian, the communications director for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), resigned Friday, adding to the list of growing departures from the governor’s office,” reported Breitbart News.
Cuomo, facing two major scandals, can’t seem to get a hint. Longtime advisors are dropping out and it is expected to continue. He should have resigned weeks ago, but he is too prideful.
Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), who recently announced that he would be running for governor, said as much. “Andrew Cuomo is a disgrace who should have resigned by now,” said Zeldin.
“The deadly nursing home order and cover-up is enough of a reason, but the rest of the scandals and investigations just keep piling up,” he continued, referring to the sexual harassment allegations.
If Cuomo doesn’t resign, he could end up impeached by the New York legislature. It is also nearly a sure thing that he will end up with a Democrat primary opponent. Even if he makes it out of the primary, however, he’ll have to face a top-tier candidate in Zeldin.
