Lousiana State University football coach Ed Orgeron has made the position to step down from his position and will not be returning for the 2022 college football season.
Orgeron will be stepping down after completing the current season after a successful stint coaching the LSU Tigers.
Orgeron was an impressive 49-17 over six seasons as LSU’s head coach, and the team even won the national championship in 2019.
Since then, a combination of factors has contributed to pushing Orgeron to step down and leave LSU.
The Tiger’s performance has suffered since the 2019 championship run, and Orgeron may bear some of the blame for that decline. More concerning, there may be legal issues at play in this situation.
LSU and Orgeron are being scrutinized after allegations that sexual misconduct complaints were being mishandled. America’s college football fans will have to stay tuned and follow that investigation as it develops.
