He just passed away. The Pence family is in a state of shock, but well-wishes are pouring in from around the world. There will never be another man like him. Please pray for everyone who is grieving.
“Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Ravi Zacharias, a Christian apologist whose ministry for the gospel of Jesus Christ impacted millions around the world,” tweeted Vice President Mike Pence.
Ravi was a man of faith who could ‘rightly handle the word of truth’ like few others in our time & he was my friend,” continued Pence, who also shared a picture of him and Zacharias sharing a moment together.
Pence sent out condolences to Zacharias’s family as well and quoted Matthew 25:23, saying that he knows the Christian leader heard “Well done good and faithful servant” when being welcomed into Heaven.
Zacharias’s ministry “spanned 48 years” and the spiritual impact of his God-given mission to provide an intellectual defense of Christianity has positively affected the lives of millions, including former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow.
“To my friend, my mentor and a great hero of the faith @RaviZacharias — Thank you,” tweeted Tebow. “I know I’ll see you again and I look forward to that day. Love you brother!”
