A worker at a meat processing plant in Chile has disappeared after he was accidentally paid 330 times his agreed-upon salary.
The worker was paid 165,398,851 Chilean pesos, which equaled $180,418, for the month of May. He was only supposed to be paid about 500,000 Chilean pesos, which equaled $545.
He at first contacted his manager about the mistake and was supposed to go to the bank and give the money back.
After ignoring communications for several days, he resigned from the company and went on the run.
It is unclear what will happen if he runs out of money and has to resurface, but it’s safe to say he’s in a whole lot of trouble if he is found.
