The Senate just made a shocking move. He is coming back and millions of Americans are stunned. Former President Barack Obama got revenge.
“The U.S. Senate voted Wednesday to confirm President Joe Biden’s nominee, D.C. Circuit Judge Merrick Garland, to serve as Attorney General,” reported Breitbart News. The vote was 70-30.
People will remember Garland from Obama’s last Supreme Court fight, in which he nominated Garland to fill the late Justice Antonin Scalia’s seat. Republicans thankfully blocked the nomination from being considered.
Instead, following Donald Trump’s win over Hillary Clinton, the newly-elected President Trump nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch to fill Scalia’s seat. For the most part, Gorsuch has been a phenomenal replacement.
But Obama never got over his embarrassment. It is why President Biden nominated Garland to become the next U.S. attorney general — it was a way to exact “revenge” on Republicans’ smart political maneuvering.
While Garland is one of Biden’s less controversial nominees, he still failed during his confirmation hearings to say whether Antifa’s violent attacks are “domestic terrorism.” This is disconcerting from our nation’s top law enforcement official.
