Former Republican Senator David Perdue reversed an earlier report and announced that he will not run again for the United States Senate.
Perdue filed last week with the FEC to explore a run in 2022 to unseat Democrat Raphael Warnock.
However, Perdue confirmed in a statement this week, that he will not be running.
“I am confident that whoever wins the Republican Primary next year will defeat the Democrat candidate in the General election for this seat, and I will do everything I can to make that happen,” said Perdue.
