He was just shot. Democrats are scrambling to hide it, but Americans already know the truth — the Second Amendment is a powerful deterrent to crime. One would-be burglar found this out the hard way.
According to reports, at approximately 1 a.m. on Christmas Eve, a 58-year-old homeowner confronted 38-year-old Matthew McCleary in his driveway — while wielding his .357 Magnum.
“McCleary allegedly lunged at the homeowner, after which the homeowner fired a warning shot into the air,” reported ABC-27. “McCleary allegedly ignored the warning shot and lunged again,” the report continued.
That’s when “the homeowner shot him with a .357 Magnum,” a painful reminder, to be sure, about the consequences of attempting to rob a homeowner with a firearm.
McCleary survived and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but perhaps he will think twice about his actions in the future. Until then, he will have to deal with charges, including burglary and criminal trespass.
The incident occurred when the homeowner reportedly awoke to strange noises. It was at this point he grabbed his .357 Magnum and found McCleary in the driveway. Will Democrats finally admit the Second Amendment is worth protecting?
