Michael Forest Reinoehl, a member of Antifa who reportedly murdered Jay Bishop, a member of the conservative activist group Patriot Prayer, was shot and killed by a US Marshall Fugitive Apprehension Task Force on Thursday.
The Portland Police Department issued a warrant for Reinoehl’s arrest early on Thursday and he was found in Lacey, Washington.
President Trump called for Reinoehl’s arrest earlier that day saying, “Why aren’t the Portland Police ARRESTING the cold-blooded killer of Aaron “Jay” Danielson. Do your job, and do it fast. Everybody knows who this thug is. No wonder Portland is going to hell! @TheJusticeDept @FBI”
The encounter between Reinoehl and the US Marshalls turned violent quickly.
According to the Oregonian, “Thurston County Sheriff John Snaza confirmed to The Olympian newspaper that U.S. marshals shot a man on a street in Tanglewilde, a town of about 6,000 near Olympia. The newspaper reported that a neighbor said he saw two SUVs pull up and then heard 30 to 40 shots.”
Reportedly Reinoehl pulled a gun on the officers who had arrived to take him and clearly a gunfight took place. Considering Reinoehl confessed to the killing in an interview with Vice News, it could be said that justice was served.
