An Ohio high school has suspended two football players for carrying flags with a thin blue line and thin red line onto the field after they were denied permission to do so.
The players carried the flags on the field as part of a 9/11 tribute before the game.
The administration has suspended them indefinitely while claiming to support police and fire first responders.
“Little Miami always has – and always will – support our first responders, our veterans, and all who sacrifice to maintain our freedoms,” the school wrote in a statement.
A petition on Change.org to reverse the suspensions has almost 15,000 signatures, but I have an even better idea: how about suspending the administrators and those who denied the players permission to carry the flags in the first place?
