John Brennan, the former CIA chief under Barack Obama, expressed concern Friday over the assassination of the head of Iran’s nuclear program, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, calling it a “criminal act.”
Iran showed images of two burned and bullet-ridden vehicles while announcing the assassination and blamed Israel for the killing.
Brennan appeared to be afraid that Iran would retaliate for the killing and suggested that leaders there wait for the “return of responsible American leadership” before deciding on a course of action.
Maybe Brennan thinks Biden will turn on Israel. If he does, he would be the first U.S. president to do so.
While Obama did not always have nice things to say about Israel during his presidency, he still recognized it as an ally. To turn on Israel would be a huge mistake for the U.S. and would not bode well for our future.
