The former lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels in her suit against former President Donald Trump, Michael Avenatti, was found guilty of withholding $300,000 from his former client in proceeds from her book about the alleged affair with Trump.
Avenatti was convicted of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft, and faces up to 20 years in jail for his crimes.
He represented himself in the case, which tells you how good a lawyer he is.
Avenatti is already facing 30 months in jail over an attempt to extort millions of dollars from Nike, and he is also accused of cheating clients in Los Angeles.
He was a darling of the liberal media while he was representing Daniels, because of his virulent anti-Trump views. Some pundits even speculated he could be a presidential candidate in 2020 before the lawsuits started.
