The day started off well for Tre Hargett, who was really living it up at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Coffee, Tennessee on Friday.
The problems started around 11:30 at night when the secretary of state of Tennessee decided to drive home despite being inebriated.
At that point “he was stopped by Tullahoma police. He was given a blood test and charged with DUI.”
Tre Hargett publicly announced that he regrets the situation.
“I respect law enforcement and will trust the legal process as we move forward.”
An extra hurdle the Republican could be facing is the fact that he was pulled over in a state-vehicle.
Making terrible decisions in his own car is one thing. Drunk driving in a car bought and paid for by tax dollars? We’ll have to see how this works out.
