Kyle Rittenhouse has been reinstated on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram after his acquittal on murder charges in November.
The social media platforms all banned Rittenhouse and any posts that supported him despite widely available information that he acted in self-defense.
Twitter has not given Rittenhouse a blue checkmark yet, but he is posting under @ThisIsKyleR. On Facebook, he is @ThisIsKyleRittenhouse.
Rittenhouse’s Instagram account was removed briefly after being reinstated, but Facebook reversed the decision and reactivated his access.
These platforms along with GoFundMe took these actions before Rittenhouse had his chance in court, which goes against the U.S. legal system that declares defendants innocent until proven guilty.
