President Joe Biden attacked former President Trump and Operation Warp Speed during his national address on the first lockdowns’ one-year anniversary.
Biden is seemingly distracting Americans from the role that China played in the coronavirus crisis. China has yet to face any form of serious inquisitional review over its role in the coronavirus crisis, which Biden must push for.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) called out Biden, saying, “You know, instead of denouncing China, he tried to discredit Operation Warp Speed. He also said when he got into office that they didn’t have the vaccine until he came in, even though he was already vaccinated. Let’s give credit where credit is due.”
Credit for the vaccine that Biden took before he was sworn into office is partly due to Trump and his efforts in cutting red-tape to rush out a vaccine. It is disgraceful that Biden would attack his predecessor for something as important as the vaccine.
McCarthy continued saying, “It is the American ingenuity that came together, that we had a virus hit us from China, that we came together and made vaccines. Now, there’s three out there that [are] already approved, so we’re going to — we’re producing more than 2 million a day into people’s arms.”
Trump warned that Biden would be too weak to hold China accountable, and Biden’s address to the nation seems to vindicate Trump’s foresight. If Biden can’t take on China, he shouldn’t be leading the United States.
