A new Politico/Morning Consult poll has found that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (D-CA) is the most popular congressional leader compared to others like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate leaders from both parties, Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

Even McCarthy had a -6 favorability rating, with 51% viewing him unfavorably while 45% approved. But his -6 is much better than Pelosi’s -23 or Schumer’s -15. McConnell had one of the worst ratings of the poll at -32.
Biden’ rating matched McCarthy’s at -6, and Vice President Kamala Harris had a -10 rating in the poll.
McCarthy is widely considered the favorite to be Speaker of the House if Republicans win back the majority in 2022, and this poll should further cement that likelihood.
