He just won the election. Democrats have offered a stunning concession — it is completely over and there is nothing they can do about it.
“Democrat candidate California State Assemblywoman Christy Smith conceded to incumbent Rep. Mike Garcia (R-CA) Monday in the race for California’s 25th Congressional District,” reported Breitbart News.
Smith issued a statement, saying, “This is not the end result we fought for, but I am proud of the strong, grassroots campaign we ran.” Her campaign’s attorneys even “reviewed thousands of uncounted ballots,” while volunteers worked to “cure hundreds of votes.”
In the end, however, Smith came up 333 votes short — meaning that the GOP has continued its hot streak of not losing a single House seat in the 2020 election. Republicans have also picked up several seats.
This means Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will have a razor-thin Democrat majority in the House, with a huge crop of new, energetic conservatives to fight her radical agenda every step of the way.
With Garcia’s win and Republicans adding seats to their caucus, the GOP is in a strong position to retake the House in 2022, especially as long as Pelosi remains Speaker. Politically, she is the gift that keeps on giving.
