Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) is leading his closest GOP challenger, former Sen. David Perdue, by 25 points in a SurveyUSA poll.
His path to re-election may not be as smooth, however. He only leads likely Democrat candidate Stacy Abrams by five points, 50 to 45%.
Early voting is about to begin for the May 24 primary.
Trump endorsed Perdue in the primary, but it doesn’t seem like Perdue is going to pull out a victory and unseat Kemp.
Trump is unhappy with Kemp for refusing to pursue election fraud harder in the state in the aftermath of the 2020 election, which Trump still thinks he actually won if the election were fair.
