Sean Hannity said on Fox News Friday morning that it was “sad” but “predictable” that some on the left reacted with hatred to President Donald Trump testing positive for the coronavirus along with his wife the First Lady and close aide Hope Hicks.
“I know from my sources in the White House, Hope was actually very vigilant about wearing a mask, took it very seriously. It’s the invisible enemy,” Hannity said as the network covered the breaking news about Trump’s illness.
“It’s unfortunate obviously for him, his family, and everybody that works for the White House,” he said.
Throughout Friday, many Democrats continued to attack Trump. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) said he doesn’t care about other people and blamed coronavirus deaths on him.
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow offered well-wishes to Trump, however, and Hannity chimed in that he hopes Joe Biden remains healthy after sharing a debate stage with Trump only two days before the diagnosis (although the two stayed socially distanced throughout the debate).
