Google’s CEO was just publicly blasted. A high-ranking Republican senator nailed him to the wall — he didn’t want to be called out with less than a week before the November election. This is stunning.
“Google searches for ‘Joe Biden’ generated approximately 30,000 impressions for Breitbart links,” said Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) to Google CEO Sundar Pichai. “This was on May 1. And after May 5th, both the impressions and the clicks went to zero.”
Blackburn continued by saying that “more people are realizing that you are picking winners and losers,” which is especially problematic during an election. “You’re beginning to insert yourself into these issues of free speech.”
Breitbart News has released a graph showing exactly what Blackburn pointed out. Following a “core updated” to Google’s search engine around May 5, searches for “Joe Biden” generated “zero” search links for users.
Before this update, however — let’s take May 1 for example — approximately “30,000 impressions” were generated for Breitbart-related articles when users searched for “Joe Biden.”
Reportedly, this isn’t by accident and Breitbart has every intention of continuing to expose Google’s alleged interference in free speech and elections. Keep returning to The Daily Conservative for more on this developing story as well.
