California’s embattled governor, Gavin Newsom, just received terrible news from his home state. The radical Democrat is completely shocked.
“Former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer (R) announced Monday that he will challenge incumbent Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) should organizers collect the 1.5 million signatures by March 17 required to put a recall election on the ballot,” reported Breitbart News.
This is a good sign that Falconer believes enough signatures will be gathered. Furthermore, a recall election would give him the upper hand — as millions of Californians will be fired up to oust Newsom.
However, if enough signatures are not gathered — or if the recall election fails — Falconer may still run against Newsom in 2022. It seems he is getting a groundswell of support, especially from small business owners.
Restaurants, in particular, have struggled mightily under Newsom’s ridiculously inconsistent and tyrannical orders. Perhaps enough voters have seen that he has to go in order for California to return to some kind of normal.
As Falconer said in his announcement: “California has so much promise. But Gavin Newsom’s broken promises have become our problems. His leadership is failing our state. It’s time for the California Comeback.”
