Fox&Friends host Steve Doocy had to put the brakes on during a telephone interview with President Donald Trump on Tuesday when Trump suggested appearing on the show every week “like in the old days.”
Turns out Trump had done a weekly segment on the show in 2011, long before he decided to run for president, and he was suggesting reviving that tradition.
Co-host Brian Kilmeade appeared to be on board with a weekly Trump segment, saying, ““We’re going to do it every week.”
Doocy had a different view, however, saying, “You may want to do it every week, but Fox is not committed to that. We’ll take it on a case-by-case basis, and Joe Biden as well is always welcome to join us for 47 minutes like we just did with the president.”
Biden has apparently declined to be interviewed by the hosts, not surprisingly. But what journalist would turn down an exclusive interview with the president every week?
