Fox News host Mark Levine is creating a crisis at Fox News by ignoring the trademark phrase of Roger Ailes, the founding chairman of Fox News. Levine has been “shooting in the tent,” and targeting his fellow Fox hosts.
Ailes knew that running a network full of powerful personalities was risky business. To ensure that public spats didn’t reach the public, Ailes discouraged hosts from going after each other in public or on their shows.

Levine has made a career out of going after fellow Fox hosts and reporters. One anonymous Fox veteran commented on Levine, saying, “It definitely goes against one of the core Fox philosophies.”
Levine himself explained his philosophy saying, “You see, this isn’t a game to me. I’m not positioning myself. This is deadly serious. The real-world matters here.”
So far, Levine’s willingness to take aim at his colleagues at Fox has paid off. The external threats are still the primary concern, and as long as that remains the case, Levine’s behavior will continue.
