A Fox News superstar just gave up — he’s completely done and people are shocked. No one expected this to happen, but it is all over the internet now. This is stunning.
“The Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier has deleted a tweet that proved the backlash against the disgraced cable news network has exploded,” reported Breitbart News’ John Nolte. And this is only the beginning of the controversy.
As Nolte wrote, it became obvious that conservatives and Trump supporters were fed up with Fox News after a seemingly harmless tweet from Baier in which he announced an upcoming newscast with fellow anchor Martha MacCallum.
Baier tweeted, “Join me + @marthamaccallum tonight 8pmET on @FoxNews.” That was it. He expected his now-deleted tweet to go off without a hitch, but the response from viewers was fast, furious, and ultimately telling.
“Uh…no way! @newsmax @SchmittNYC ALL THE WAY!” said one Twitter user. “Nope – done with Fox!” said another. Then there was the real kicker: “You have lost this loyal viewer! Trying to influence an outcome that is clearly not legitimate!”
This ties back to earlier this week when Fox News called Arizona for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. The network was far too presumptuous, of course, and had to retract. It has only gone downhill with viewers from there.
