Fox News anchor Chris Wallace has confirmed he will be leaving the network and CNN’s Brian Stelter is attempting to spin the situation as some kind of loss for Fox News.
Wallace was well known at Fox for his sometimes misinformed centrist views.
Wallace could be particularly grating as he would parrot leftist talking points about former President Trump, something that did a lot of damage to his credibility.
During his Sunday show, Stelter reacted to the news saying, “Wallace last signed a contract with FOX in 2017, and he had a four-year deal. I’m told, according to sources knowledgeable with the matter, he decided to leave on his own. He wanted out at the end of his contract this year. So, that speaks volumes about Fox and what’s changing at Fox.”
It seems more likely that Fox News didn’t want Wallace back after four years of Wallace continuing to spew debunked talking points better suited to the likes of Stelter.
Contrary to Stelter’s claims, Wallace leaving Fox News will be an upgrade for the network. There is no room in conservative news for those who want to advance the often inaccurate liberal agenda.
