Fox News just officially fired one of their stars and the nation is in complete shock. An investigation was conducted first, but there is a major dispute about the findings. This is stunning.
“Fox News on Wednesday fired daytime news anchor Ed Henry after an investigation of sexual misconduct in the workplace,” reported Breitbart News, based upon an Associated Press story.
According to the report, the complaint that ultimately led to Henry’s firing was received on June 25. In response, Henry released a statement of his own through an attorney about the situation.
“Attorney Catherine Foti: ‘Ed Henry denies the allegations referenced in the Fox announcement and is confident that he will be vindicated after a full hearing in an appropriate forum,'” he tweeted.
Of course, the scandal is currently Henry’s word against Fox News and additional information has not surfaced yet. It will be interesting to see Henry’s defense and how Fox responds to it.
Regardless, it appears this particular relationship is severed forever — and it could be a long time before Henry nabs another job in the industry, even if the case turns out in his favor. We will see.
