Fox News just broke another major story. The Democrats’ impeachment witch-hunt against President Trump is in jeopardy — it could even be over. In fact, they could be looking for an exit.
Former Speaker of the House New Gingrich — one of Trump’s strongest supporters and allies — said on ‘Fox & Friends’ this week that “there’s been a huge swing” away from Democrats trying to impeach Trump.
First of all, he said, there’s the matter of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). The anti-Trump congressman has hung Democrats “out to dry” for being “so dishonest, so blatantly arrogant, so patently unfair that he turned the tide.”
One example of an about-face is Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D-MI). She initially supported impeachment, but she has since walked her statement back several steps. It is truly something to behold.
“It was a Michigan Democrat yesterday who has switched her position and said, ‘you know, maybe we don’t need to impeach,'” said Gingrich, referring to Rep. Lawrence.
Soon, we will likely start seeing even more Democrats fall like dominoes. But here’s the problem: This will hurt them with their party’s far-left base and conservative voters are united behind Trump. Democrats are doomed in 2020.
