Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) called on the CDC to rescind it’s no-sail order currently in place until November 1.
“If there is one thing we’ve learned over the past year, it’s that lockdowns don’t work, and Floridians deserve the right to earn a living,” DeSantis said, calling the cruise industry “essential to our state’s economy.”
“Keeping it shut down until November would be devastating to the men and women who rely on the cruise lines to provide for themselves and their families,” he added, saying that the CDC needed to “immediately rescind this baseless no-sail order to allow Floridians in this industry to get back to work.”
The no-sail order has been in place since March 14, 2020. And with Biden lackeys now in charge of the CDC, you can bet that the last thing that agency is going to do is anything that would help Florida’s economy.
It’s way more satisfying to keep the cruise industry shut down, even if it causes billions more in losses between now and November.
