At least three high-profile firings just rocked the White House, however, Kellyanne Conway has set the record straight. She revealed it all on national television this week.
“Are more heads gonna roll in the wake of the people who testified against the president?” asked ‘Fox & Friends’ host Steve Doocy, in response to Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman being relieved of his White House role.
Conway countered the “ridiculous” idea that Vindman’s ouster was retaliatory action, saying it “is very typical to have a detailee for a temporary period of time who then returns to what their full-time job is.”
Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland was recalled by President Trump as well, and he shares something in common with Vindman: He also testified during the impeachment hearing.
According to reports, Vindman’s twin brother, Lt. Col. Yevgeny Vindman, “had also left the National Security Council,” however, both brothers are still employed by the federal government in different positions.
Democrats are obviously trying to paint a different picture and claiming that Alexander Vindman’s firing, for example, was due to his congressional testimony. Conway said that’s not the case at all.
