Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said Sunday on Fox News that documents being released next week will show that the FBI lied to Congress about what it knew about the reliability of the Steele dossier, a source of information about President Donald Trump that later turned out to be unverified and full of errors.
Other documents that have been released recently have shown that FBI agents knew the dossier was unreliable when they used it to get FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign.
Some of these documents are being looked at by U.S. Attorney John Durham as he investigates the origins of the Mueller investigation against Trump, which did not turn up any incriminating information about him even though it went on for more than two years.
“You’re gonna find not only did the FBI lie to the FISA court, they lied their a– off to the Congress” in 2018, Graham said to Maria Bartiromo.
The only question is, will they get away with it?
