In a startling turn of events, an evacuation order was just and people are completely shocked. President Donald Trump was forced to respond to the situation as it continues to unfold.
According to Fox News, riots that broke out on Sunday night resulted in “numerous” Secret Service agents being injured. Fires also “blazed near the White House” following Trump’s evacuation to a safety bunker.
“A senior official in the direct chain of command for defending Washington D.C. told Fox News” about the injuries sustained by the Secret Service agents, with some of them being “hurt by rioters throwing bottles and Molotov cocktails.”
Following the nationwide outbreak of violence, Trump announced on social media that the United States “will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization” — a promise he followed through on moments later.
There is now evidence implicating Antifa and other related groups in the destruction that has erupted in major cities nationwide. While peaceful protesting is protected by the First Amendment, rioting will not be tolerated.
Americans are justifiably horrified by the death of George Floyd, who pled for his life for over eight minutes while Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck. He has been charged with third-degree murder.
