Elon Musk has dug in his heels over his demands to know the true number of bots that make up Twitter’s daily users.
He put his Twitter acquisition on hold until the company shows him proof that only 5% of Twitter’s daily users are bots.
Musk thinks the number of bots could be 20% or more, which would throw off profit calculations and advertising numbers.
Ostensibly, Musk would want to pay a lower price for Twitter if the number of bots was significantly higher than he had been told before offering $44 billion for the company.
There could also be legal liabilities for Twitter if the number of bots is one-third or one-half of daily users.
