Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) called for an uprising over the Supreme Court’s apparent upcoming decision to overturn Roe V. Wade and send abortion back to the states.
“An extremist Supreme Court is poised to overturn #RoeVWade and impose its far-right, unpopular views on the entire country. It’s time for the millions who support the Constitution and abortion rights to stand up and make their voices heard. We’re not going back — not ever,” she tweeted.
Under the prevailing argument from the left that men should not be able to express opinions or make decisions about the legality of abortion because they cannot become pregnant and carry a child, it seems that Warren and other past-childbearing age women like Vice President Kamala Harris should not be able to do so either.
Barricades were quickly erected around the Supreme Court building after Politico published a leaked draft of the Supreme Court’s decision on a Mississippi abortion case that effectively strips any federal abortion right from the law.
Protesters on both sides quickly assembled outside the court, with pro-choice protesters chanting, “Pack the courts!” and “What do we want? Abortion. When do we want it? Now!” and pro-life people chanting, “Hey hey ho ho — Roe v. Wade has got to go!”
