Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is out. She can’t do it anymore and people are stunned. No one expected this to happen — she really stepped in it.
During a press conference, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was asked about the transition to the next administration. He answered, “There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration.”
That’s when Warren went off, clearly unable to get a simple tongue-in-cheek joke. “This isn’t just delusional—it’s dangerous,” she tweeted in response. “The peaceful transition of power is a cornerstone of our democracy.”
Warren concluded that Joe Biden “won this election, and this administration needs to accept the results and let him get to work.” And that’s another thing she needs to understand: this election is far from over.
Votes are still being counted in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Michigan. The Trump campaign even recently just won a court victory in Pennsylvania related to ballots that came in late; they will not be counted now.
But Warren wants to ignore these facts and end the election now. It is why she can’t take a joke from Pompeo — and she probably has something to gain, too. Rumor has it she wants to be treasury secretary in a hypothetical Biden administration.
