President Donald Trump’s rallies in Minnesota and Wisconsin have been attracting lots of Democrats and Independents, which could translate to lots more votes for Trump than pollsters and mail-in ballot counters have expected.
“We are seeing DEMOCRATS and INDEPENDENTS turn out in droves for @realDonaldTrump’s rallies,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tweeted, noting that more than 50% of signups in key states were not Republicans.
In Rochester, Minnesota, 53.6% of signups were not Republican, and in Green Bay, Wisconsin, 52.6% were not Republican.
“These voters are going to make a huge difference on Tuesday!” McDaniel said.
In an era when numerous public figures have insulted and abused Trump voters, many of those voting for Trump may not admit it to pollsters or any others who attempt to find out about voting patterns.
