An election ‘reversal’ in Georgia could be happening. Millions of Americans are in shock — they never expected this at the eleventh hour. People are stunned.
“Georgia’s DeKalb County officials don’t know if it’s in possession of the ballot transfer forms used to record the chain of custody for absentee ballots dropped into some 300 drop boxes around the state,” reported The Epoch Times.
The Georgia Star News reportedly sent “an open records request” to the county to obtain the forms, however, county officials responded that “it has not yet been determined if responsive records to your request exist.”
Now, if a dispute continues, there is the possibility that all 300 ballots could be called into question. This wouldn’t be nearly enough to overturn the entire election in Georgia, but it would still represent a small reversal of sorts.
One has to wonder, though: If it can happen with 300 ballots, why not more? Establishing and proving chain of custody for any kind of mail-in ballot is crucial. It is how we know the votes were legally cast.
This is also why President Donald Trump and his team should be commended for shining a light on voting irregularities, even if the election doesn’t turn out as hoped. Americans must have confidence in how the election is administered.
