Republican David Perdue, who recently launched his campaign challenging Governor Brian Kemp (R), has joined a lawsuit alleging that there was voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
Perdue believes that both he and former President Donald Trump were cheated out of victory in Georgia.
Perdue’s efforts have gained him the endorsement of Trump, who sees a potential ally who would be a greater asset than Governor Kemp.
Governor Kemp’s refusal to even consider allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election has made him a bit of a pariah among Trump supporters.
If Perdue plays his hand right, he could very well knock Kemp out of office with the support of Trump’s loyal support base.
The situation in Georgia will be one worth keeping an eye on. If Perdue’s lawsuit succeeds in showing voter fraud, it will both doom Governor Kemp and serve as a massive victory for Trump.
